Time zones...Since when?
Well, you know how after Nashville Tennessee the time goes back an hour, right?
Apparently jumping across that line can be a little confusing.
(I went from Kingsport to Johnson City to Morristown to Louisville to Nashville to Indianapolis back to Nashville.)
I was leaving Tennessee on my own for the first time and my best friend and brother stayed on the phone with me pretty much the whole time I was on the bus. I called him from Nashville (after my phone recharged of course-I was stuck there for two hours) which is where the time goes back an hour so where it was 2 where I was it was 3 where he was.
Now keep in mind I had been up since 6 am so almost 24 hours.
The fisrt thing he says to me (not even a hello or anything) is 'Do you not realize what time it is?'
I was like 'Yeah its 2 I just stoped in Nashville."
He just laughed at me and said 'Hun youre an hour behind me now it's 3 up here.'after he was done laughing at me he asked 'Did you forget about the different time zones again?'(yes this happened once or twice before)
I just staired at my phone and asked 'Time zones...Since when?'
He just laughed again and said 'Yeah, hun, there have been time zones since the begining of time. You should lay off the coffee and get some sleep.'

Gotta LOVE being forgotten...
Dont you just love when people tell you to hold on that they will be right back?
I do, especially last night when my roomate forgot he had me on hold and I sat with my phone on speaker for three hours waiting for him to come back.
He actually completely forgot I was on the phone, and asked why I was calling him at three in the morning. He called me!
When I explained what happened he asked me why I didnt hang up on him.
My answer: What if you came back and plus I didnt even notice the time going by because I was rewriting poems and working on my book (plus add four pots of coffee to that as well).
Which he totally understood because we did live together for a while.
Im still a lil annoyed that he thought I called him at three in the morning. (its not my fault he called me at 11:45 thinking it was going to be a quick hello-goodbye type of conversation-that never happens with us)
His phone didnt even ring so how is that possible?
I guess is learned that if someone calls you at twelve or later they are most likely to either fall asleep or hang up on you(which he did both).
(So for the record I was on hold from 12:30 to 3:45-thats a long time but he was listening to good music,so it helped with writing.)

A Challenging Challenge (Hopefuly Overcome)
Do you remember me telling you few days ago that one of my friends asked me to write a poem inspired by my favorite song?
Well I wrote two poems one is kind of short and the other is long, but they both are written about the same person, inspired by the same song, and both have some of the same lines...
I presented them to Miss Rowse for editing and proofreading, hopefully I fixed most of the mistakes but having someone else read over helps point out the mistakes I missed.
I hope that I can get them edited and ready for my friends presentation on Tuesday.
The hardest part is over so now all i have to do is edit it and send it to her, hopefuly its good enough for her.

Curse You Forgetfulness!!!
So have you ever gotten up to do somethng or walk into a room and forget what it was you were doing or why you went in that room?
Well, I have, alot actually.
I was listening to a new platlist of music I got from my dad's new friend and her daughter last night when I had this great idea for a new story, or a great senario for an old one, or a character in an old one...
From the time it took me to get from my kitchen (thats where my computer is) to my room to get a new notebook to start the story I completely forgot what it was.
When I tried to listen to the song to remember the great idea I couldnt find it (there are like 3,000 song on their hard-drive).
I walked back to my room, back to the kitchen, called my bf like I had earlier and just tried to redo everything I did before the great idea... NOTHING HAPPENED!!!
I was really annoyed at my forgetfulness, so when my dads friend came by so her daughter could say hi and bring me food I asked her the name of the song that I was listening to, and it turns out it wasnt even on her playlist; It was on mine, boy did I feel smart.
I guess I forgot I changed the playlists.

NFL
Ive never really understood why the Super bowl is such an important football game, it seems everyone puts their life on hold long enough to watch it.
Why is it more important than the rest of the season. I mean, hello! There is a whole season for a reason people.(haha that rhymed)
My favorite team is the Miami Dolphins, even though they havent had a good season since 1972.
They are the only team in the NFL to ever go undefeated, a couple time some other random team has come close, but couldnt take the record.
Yes I understand that there are more games in a football season now then there were in 1972 but still the fact still remains that the team went undefeated.
I would love to see them go back to the Super bowl at least one more time.
Now back to my point...Why bother giving one game more attention than other games?
The pre-season, the season, and the post-season games are all just as entertaining(aside from halftime) and most are just as close or just as much of a beatdown.
GO MIAMI DOLPHINS!

A Challenging Challenge
Okay so I was presented with a special task from an old friend.
I was asked to write a poem based from my favorite song...
Easy, right? Wrong.
I have to make it about a page and it has to represent the song.
Okay sounds easy too, right? Again, wrong.
The song I chose is 'Save Me' by Shinedown (Not something a country girl should know, but I do).
The subject of the poem my ex-roomate/best friend.
Now my problem.
Keeping it to where he isnt identified or the group reading this doesnt know right off the bat that its him.
I have written, and rewritten, and rewritten this poem in so many different points of view that im not even sure I can actually pull this off.
I only have one version saved but its the original and i dont know how to change it so that he isnt recognised. I have to get this turned into the group by the twenty-third, so i have eleven or so days.
I have to get this finished for her so i dont dissapoint her.
Wish me luck!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Winter Weather Freeze Out
I dont advise walking home when you live like two miles away from the school and its all snowy.
Well I had to and without any gloves, a hat, or a scarf; and let me tell you it was cold.
by the time I got home I couldnt feel my hands my nose or my ears...How long will it take to get used to this weather?
After i warmed up I kinda had a blast from the past.
My older brothers and i used to play a game when we were growing up called Freeze Out. The object of the game was to stay the quietest the longest with the windows down (no jackets, blankets,or anything else you could use for warmpth).
The rules...
No Warming devices or clothing (besides what you already had on)
Every window in the vehicle had to be fully opened
No cuddeling up to the person beside you
THE FIRST ONE TO COMPLAIN LOOSES!!!
Any way back to the point I actually kind of felt the same way when i used to play that game.
I was (all except twice) the last one to complain because my mom would always roll up the windows before I could complain. So basically she helped me win. HAHA TAKE THAT BOYS!

Newspaper Errors
Okay so here is my first official blog post (dont worry i wont count them all).
I was taking a journalism class in one of my previous schools and noticed something weird about our paper one day.
You may be wondering what was it that I noticed, well, it just so happened that one of the two people cutting and pasting the articles (to newspaper boards not plagiarizing ) glued the title down wrong and almost the whole article was out of order.
So naturally I pointed it out so it could be fixed and it was.
I also found a few spelling and gramatic mistakes on my part.
Later on that day I had some freetime and was helping a friend with her assignment when I noticed that on the front page of the city's newspaper the writer made a huge mistake.
His mistake: he said 'hear' instead of 'here' while talking about a place.
His mistake was using the wrong here.
Now I see why my journalism teacher always got onto our class for making careless mistakes like this.
It stands out.

New Blog
Well, I have several other blogs, but this blog was created specifically to be used for my creative writing class. I'm not exactly sure how much this will be used except for class. I'm not really all that much of an avid blogger anymore.
